A Day and Night at The Big Rig

Roma, Queensland

About this attraction

Through a self-guided tour of The Big Rig Roma’s Oil Patch Museum, you will stand beneath a 100-year-old oil rig and gain an understanding of the hope, ingenuity and mateship that shaped the Australian oil, gas, and energy industry.

Learn about the trials and tribulations that our pioneers endured whilst trying to strike it rich with Roma oil and in the evening ignite your interest in sabotage and drama whilst you enjoy a glass of Outback port and an original short history film under the stars in the outdoor theatre.

Join in to discover the gritty details and salute Australia’s riggers, past and present.
