4th Floor Elevator (4FE) is a Modernist Museum located in the heart of Adelaide CBD hidden upstairs in an historic 1879 building.
Their permanent "MADE IN AUS" collection is a thoughtful curation of objects sourced exclusively from private collection showcasing the influence of migrant and local talents in furniture art, industrial design, and manufacturing in Australia between the 1950s-1980s. These iconic pieces are displayed through a fresh contemporary lens, exemplifying how good design transcends time.
The museum also features international furniture, product & industrial design.
4FE is a pulsating experience of art, design, music, video graphics, and pop culture which is both educational and inspiring for all ages.
For enthusiasts of Mid Century, Vintage, Industrial, Space Age furniture and product design, this is a unique collection not to be missed.
