Every June long weekend the Sikh community hold a two-day event at Ted Scobie Oval against the backdrop of Scenic Hill in Griffith.
Enjoy traditional Indian cuisine throughout the day as well as soccer, tug-o-war, kabbadi: a wrestling sport originating from very early Indian civilisation, and athletic events for the kids.
This is a popular cultural event that attracts thousands of people to Griffith from around Australia and overseas, to compete in and watch the games and to enjoy the celebrations.
