For one winter weekend each year, Leeton slips into its Art Deco best.
The Australian Art Deco Festival Leeton celebrates the Riverina town's remarkable interwar architecture with three days of music, markets, vintage style, guided experiences, food, wine, and after-dark events. It is a whole-of-town celebration, with locals and visitors filling the streets in sharp suits, pearls, and fabulous coats.
Expect jazz in the air, vintage cars gleaming in the winter light, beautifully restored buildings, bustling markets, and plenty of reasons to linger over good food and a glass of something sparkling.
Held in Leeton, NSW, in the heart of the Riverina, the Festival is an easy weekend away for lovers of architecture, history, design, music, regional food, and a good excuse to dress up.
It's the sort of winter escape that makes you want to pack a small case, a good coat and something fabulous to wear.
