Thallon Truck Pull
About this event
Experience one of South West Queensland's most unique country events when the Thallon Truck Pull returns in August 2028.
Hosted by the Thallon State School P&C Association, this much-loved biennial event brings together country strength, community spirit and family fun.
Watch teams of six take on the challenge of pulling a 12-tonne prime mover 25 metres in the fastest time, with Men's and Women's competitions creating plenty of friendly rivalry and big country spirit.
There's more than just trucks, with the event featuring family entertainment, a free Kids Zone, market stalls, food, vintage vehicles, the Truck Show & Shine and plenty of country hospitality.
Each Truck Pull is a little different, and the 2028 program is still being planned — but visitors can expect the same big community spirit, plenty of fun and a few surprises along the way.
Proudly run by the Thallon State School P&C Association, the event raises funds to support Thallon State School and provide opportunities for its rural students.
Whether you're competing, cheering from the sidelines or simply looking for a unique country experience, the Thallon Truck Pull is a great excuse to head west, enjoy the atmosphere and discover the community of Thallon.
