Coonawarra Running Festival

About this event

The Coonawarra Running Festival is an all-inclusive, all abilities fundraising event raising much needed funds for Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation and awareness for mental health throughout the Limestone Coast.

An event for all ages and abilities as well as a day for the whole family.

Running events include: half marathon, 12.6 kilometres, 6.3 kilometres men's & women's, 1 kilometre, a wobbly winery walk, even something for the tiny runners, with a mini fun run around the Coonawarra Park.

The event attracts runners from across the country so whether you are a serious runner or enjoy running with a view, bring the family and enjoy a run, the food, the market and family environment all set in the middle of the Coonawarra Wine Region, conveniently located halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne and just 50kms from Mount Gambier.

Make a weekend of it and stay at any of the accommodation in either Penola or Coonawarra, you could even finish the weekend with a unique experience to help the tired legs recover with a wine barrel bath at the local caravan park.

Come for the run and stay for the extra experiences that the greater region has to offer, perhaps a night at beautiful Beachport SA.
