"Tapestry of colour' by Jill Bond SALA exhibition for 2026

The paintings of Jill Bond are typically vibrant using the full range of colors available in which ever medium she uses; her definitive style has struck a chord with art enthusiasts around Australia. Jill has had joint and Solo exhibitions in South Australia and Victoria.

Born in Loxton, Jill grew to love the evocative landscape of the mighty Murray and its gnarled gums, the red soil and saltbush, of the Mallee and its deep blue skies. After studying ceramics at the Adelaide School of Art, the call of the outback took her to the station country of Northern New South Wales, Western NSW and Queensland as a Jillaroo and Governess. Eventually returning to Adelaide Jill worked on capturing the outback's intense colors exploring this in pastel and Acrylics.

Since her recent retirement as a Dementia Specialist Advisor, Jill continues to explore different mediums and techniques, and is enjoying doing painting full time.

This exhibition is part of the South Australian Living Artists exhibition at the Rainmoth Gallery and will run from the 2nd of August to the 30th of September.
