A Maze'n Margaret River

Margaret River, Western Australia

About this event

One of the most unique places to visit is Margaret River, our three meter tall giant hedge maze is now 31 years old. It's made up 2,000 Cupressus Lleylandi trees with 1.5 kilometres of pathways, surrounded by five hectares of landscaped gardens, with unusual and rare native plants, attracting native wildlife, beautiful birds and bees. There is nothing like it for hundreds of miles around.

It also boasts a very challenging 18-hole mini golf course.

Other facilities include a playground, interactive ground puzzles and games, free gas barbeques, picnic grounds and tables, air-conditioned/heated cafes with great local coffee from Commonage Coffee Co.; organic tea from Rippleeffect Tea Company. The very best scones, made in house.

The gardens not only have the most amazing diversity of plants, but quirky art, mostly sculptured by one of the the owners - Russell. All paths are wheelchair and pram accessible.

A Maze'n Margaret River is four kilometres south of Margaret River on Bussell Highway, and accessible from the Wardandi bicycle/walk trail.
