About this event

The Hayland Gathering is a bienniel celebration of Scottish heritage and culture held in Hay, New South Wales.

The event, now in its fourth year, brings together locals and visitors for a weekend of traditional Scottish festivities, including a street parade, Riverina Highland dancing Titles, Highland Muscle Heavy Events competition, athletic competitions, and live music.

The 2027 Hay Highland Gathering begins with the Lachlan Street Parade featuring participants in traditional Scottish attire, led by pipe bands, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Following the parade, an official opening ceremony marks the start of the main activities, which continue throughout the day.
