This year marks the twentieth edition of the Byron Bay International Film Festival, delivering ten days of exceptional cinema, creativity and connection across Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers.

The festival brings acclaimed filmmakers, emerging Australian talent and audiences together in some of the region's most distinctive venues. Screenings and events take place at Palace Cinemas Byron Bay, Brunswick Picture House, Stone and Wood Brewery, the Drill Hall Theatre in Mullumbimby and other locations across the Northern Rivers.

Each venue offers a different way to experience the region. Visitors can watch exceptional films, meet filmmakers and share conversations with the local creative community. They can also discover the beaches, villages, restaurants, breweries and cultural spaces that make the Northern Rivers unique.

The program spans compelling dramas, powerful documentaries, surf films, music videos, animation and bold new voices in cinema. Red carpet events, filmmaker conversations, industry gatherings and special anniversary experiences bring audiences closer to the people and stories behind the screen.

For twenty years, the Byron Bay International Film Festival has championed independent storytelling and created memorable shared experiences. Its anniversary edition celebrates that legacy while looking towards the next generation of Australian and international filmmakers.
