About this event
Ability Surf runs itinerantly from Lennox Head to Ballina beaches. They are accredited and insured by Surfing Australia and have a Disability specific surf coaching licence permit from Ballina Shire Council. They meet surfers at the appropriate beach/lake for a surf therapy session. They provide all equipment, including wetsuits, surfboards, life vests and rash shirts, to surfers.
Their mission is to combine the medicine of the ocean and surfing with person-to-person connection to enable all people to have an equal opportunity to access the ocean in a supportive and caring environment.
