Simpson Desert Ultra

The Simpson Desert Ultra (SDU) returns with this ultra marathon event set in the heart of the Australian Outback.
With distances of 160km, 100km, 75km, 50km & 25km, there is something for those new to the ultra-scene, as well as those more accustomed to the gruelling nature of such events. The event will take place near Birdsville in south west Queensland on the edge of the Simpson Desert and traverse a variety of terrains.
From towering sand dunes to rocky gibber plains it will surely test the limits of each participant and allow them to immerse themselves in a truly unique part of the Australian landscape. The Simpson Desert Ultra will no doubt be remembered for its big heart and vast spaces
