Australian National Busking Championships Goolwa Heats
About this event
The Goolwa Community Association is presenting the inaugural SA round of the Australian National Busking Championships. This event is a part of the growing number of competitions held under this banner in Australia and targets Primary & Secondary age performers and includes an Open and Peoples Choice Section.
The Busking Stations will be scattered throughout the Goolwa Wharf Precinct. There is an opportunity for spectators to "vote" for their favourite busker via Tokens that can be purchased during the day.
Following the busking our Finals will be held at the Murray Delta Juke Joint where the winners will be announced and perform in a professional setting. One performer will be chosen to compete in the Grand Final which is held in Cooma NSW later in the year. In addition one winner will have the opportunity to perform at the Fleurieu Folk Festival being held the following weekend at Willunga SA.
This is a great spectator opportunity and provides a free outdoor family friendly event. Enjoy the cafes and restaurants on the Wharf or just sit back and enjoy the view.
