Asia Pacific Screen Awards & Forum
About this event
Proudly supported by Australia's Gold Coast, the 19th Asia Pacific Screen Awards and Forum returns this October, marking a pivotal moment as APSA heads towards its 20th Anniversary and continues its evolution into a true cultural and industry engine for the Asia Pacific screen sector.
Recognised by FIAPF as one of the world's prestigious film prizes, APSA brings together filmmakers, producers, distributors and industry leaders from across the Asia Pacific, built on three pillars:
Celebration — honouring the region's finest films and filmmakers
Connection — bringing together the Asia Pacific screen community from 78 countries and areas
Collaboration — fostering co-productions and pathways that strengthen the region's screen industry
The accompanying Forum is designed for practitioners ready to take their work further — built on the philosophy of *come with a project, leave with a pathway*, connecting filmmakers with the relationships that turn ideas into outcomes.
But APSA isn't just for industry. Everyone is welcome to be part of the celebration, with public screenings at Event Cinemas Pacific Fair and the Opening Night Gala on Wednesday 28 October at The Star, featuring a special tribute to Jack Thompson AM, President of the Academy since its founding.
