STS Young Endeavour Final Open Day in Sydney at the Maritime Museum

Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney, New South WalesSat, 5 Sept 2026, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

About this event

Visit Australia's national sail training ship, STS Young Endeavour for the last time in Sydney!

Since 1988, the ship has welcomed over 15,000 young Australians on board and sailed more than 500,000 nautical miles. A voyage on Young Endeavour is a challenging adventure at sea for youth aged 16-23 years. It's a unique opportunity to develop teamwork and leadership skills through an internationally recognised youth development program.

At the Open Day explore the ship, meet the Royal Australian Navy staff crew, and hear from the Young Endeavour Ambassadors about their voyage experience, and ask the team how you can apply for your own voyage of a lifetime.

Visitors are encouraged to wear enclosed, flat shoes and shorts/pants, open to all ages and families are welcome.

Boarding is free and open to all, no tickets needed.

If you'd like to explore the rest of the Maritime Museum's exhibitions and vessels, museum tickets are required.
