Toowoomba Exhibition Gardens 2026
About this event
Toowoomba has long been known as the 'Garden City', The Exhibition Gardens were born in 1973 when its founder, Cec Swenson, a ten times grand champion in the Carnival of Flowers competition, decided that his garden would be available for public inspection.
This year, eight private gardeners open their stunning gardens under the banner 'Toowoomba Exhibition Gardens' for the public to visit between Friday 18th and Sunday 27th September, with proceeds going to a charity of their choice. Ticket prices are $6 for a single garden $20 for 4 gardens and $40 for all 8 gardens.
Over the past 50 years, over one million dollars have been raised for local charities.
For all lovers of seasonal spring colour, there are a variety of garden types which will take your breath away, located around Toowoomba, Highfields and Gowrie Junction.
