About this event
NGV's new retrospective exhibition on Margaret Preston showcases how her work has shaped the cultural and aesthetic landscape of Australia.
A central figure in the story of modern art in Australia, the exhibition charts her career and contextualises her work alongside peers and in direct conversation with contemporary First Nations artists who have responded to her use of Indigenous iconography.
