'They Didn't Fit' Exhibition
About this event
Explore the variety of artwork that Master Lino Block carver, Christine Upton, has produced over the last 10 years.
There are 26 original and beautifully framed relief block works are in this exhibition because they would not fit in her large Solo exhibition, of 90 artworks, at Canberra's Belconnen Arts Centre.
Touch the carved blocks on display to gain a better understanding of the intricacy of the carving involved when printing a number of colours from the same block to produce a single print in a limited edition.
Chat to Christine about the stories behind the works and the techniques she uses.
