Around the Table - Make and Mend
About this event
Do you have a favourite garment in need of a little attention, or a project you've been meaning to finish?
Join Brood for Around the Table - Make and Mend, a monthly gathering dedicated to extending the life of the textiles we love and creating space for thoughtful making. Bring along a project or a piece that needs a simple repair: moth-holes, missing buttons, loose hems, split seams. Spend a couple of hours giving them the care they deserve.
This isn't a workshop or a class. It's a relaxed space to sit, stitch, make, mend and to connect with others over a cup of tea, a glass of wine and good conversation. Brood will provide basic repair materials and a little expertise if you need it, but you're welcome to work at your own pace and help each other out as well.
Whether you're an experienced maker or picking up a needle for the first time, all are welcome. Come alone or bring some friends. Bring a garment in need of repair or textile project you'd like to work on, any special buttons, trims or materials you'd like to use. Brood will provide basic mending materials, tools, tea, and a welcoming space to make, repair and connect.
Bookings are not required, casual walk-ins welcome. These sessions occur on the second Thursday of every month.
