Wear It Purple 2026 - Toowoomba Community Celebrations

Wear It Purple Day - Toowoomba Community Celebration is a free community event that brings together young people, families, community organisations and allies from across the Toowoomba Region to celebrate diversity, inclusion and belonging for LGBTQIA+ young people.
Hosted by Toowoomba Regional Council's Youth Connect team and the Regional Youth Leaders, the event features a range of community information stalls, with participating organisations offering interactive activities, resources and opportunities for connection. Attendees can enjoy music, giveaways, food, games and a welcoming festival atmosphere while learning more about local services and support networks.
Held on the Empire Theatre Lawn in the heart of the Toowoomba CBD, the event provides a safe and inclusive space where people can come together, celebrate community, connect with local organisations and show their support for LGBTQIA+ young people.
Whether you're attending with friends, family or on your own, everyone is welcome to join the purple celebration.
