A Strait Escape - Multicultural Festival offers an immersive journey into the culture, history and island life of the Torres Strait. Based on Thursday Island, the experience combines authentic cultural encounters, local hospitality, heritage, art, food and spectacular Sea Country.
A highlight of the journey is the Torres Strait Multicultural Festival, where guests experience the region's cultural diversity through live performances, traditional and contemporary dance, music, food, art and community celebrations.
Beyond the festival, guests explore Thursday Island and surrounding areas through locally guided experiences, cultural storytelling and significant heritage sites. The journey creates opportunities to connect with Traditional Owners, local artists, performers and community members while gaining a deeper appreciation of Torres Strait culture and identity.
