City of Lights Festival
About this event
Tamworth's night-time economy comes alive after dark during the City of Lights Festival — two dazzling nights celebrating the city that was among the first in the Southern Hemisphere to switch on electric street lighting. Across Tamworth's CBD, Fitzroy Street and Bicentennial Park, the theme "Land and Light" brings together projection art, live music, First Nations storytelling, roving performers and illuminated shopfronts — where history meets innovation, and the streets come alive again.
This event is delivered with support from the NSW Government's Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner through the Regional Night-Time Economy Program.
