It all started back in 2014, with one simple idea: Let's bring the best local wine and cheese makers together under one roof - and throw a festival that's actually fun. Not another stuffy wine-tasting. Not just another Farmers Market. But something vibrant, flavour-packed, and full of personality.
Since then, it has grown into one of Melbourne's favourite annual events, celebrating small-batch producers, hidden gems, and the joy of discovering something new and tasty with friends. From rustic reds and creamy bries to live tunes, grape stomping comps, and interactive masterclasses, there's something for every kind of foodie, sipper, or curious explorer.
The Wine and Cheese Fest are proud to support local and boutique producers from every corner of Australia, from the back roads of Victoria to the vineyards of Western Australia and the dairies of Tasmania. No big commercial names here. Just real people making incredible wine, cheese, and small goods you won't find in your average store.
