A Magical Hotstart
About this event
Arts and Cultural Exchange brings A Magical Hotstart to Powerhouse Parramatta, marking the world premiere of a new collaboration by acclaimed Australian artist Justene Williams and musicians from Arts and Cultural Exchange Club Weld program. Developed in partnership with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the production brings together visual art, music and performance in the kind of ambitious, boundary-pushing project that Arts and Cultural Exchange exists to make possible.
Inspired by a childhood memory, the work draws on objects from the Powerhouse Collection to explore themes of transformation, connection and emotion through sound, sculpture and costume. Featuring original music developed by neurodiverse musicians from the Club Weld program, A Magical Hotstart is designed for audiences of all ages.
