About this event

Celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2026, the Armenian Film Festival Australia (AFFA) celebrates Armenian and Armenian diaspora cinema.

Each year, the Armenian Film Festival Australia brings together internationally acclaimed films, visiting filmmakers and audiences from all backgrounds to connect through the power of storytelling. From thought-provoking documentaries and acclaimed feature films, the festival offers a unique cultural experience that is both entertaining and enriching.

After successful festivals in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth for the first time, the Armenian Film Festival Australia returns to Melbourne as the last stop of their National Tour at Village Cinemas Century City, Glen Waverley, with the best films from the festival for Melbourne audiences.

The festival begins with the opening night reception and the charming romantic comedy A Winter's Song. Come early, walk the red carpet, enjoy Armenian hospitality, food and a drink, and celebrate the opening of the Armenian Film Festival Australia in Melbourne with the community.

There's something for everyone, including comedy, drama, family films, sport, romance and stories that connect you to Armenia and the Armenian diaspora.

Three days. Seven screenings. One incredible weekend of Armenian cinema, culture and community. The Armenian Film Festival Australia invites you to explore stories that connect cultures, challenge perspectives, and stay with you long after the credits roll.
