From the organiser
A beloved festive tradition in Wellington Shire, the 29th Annual Keith Hamilton Sale and District Toy Run brings together riders, community groups, and local families for a day of generosity and holiday spirit.
The festivities kick off in the heart of Sale at the Clocktower Mall along Raymond Street, where hundreds of decorated motorcycles, trikes and classic vehicles assemble. Spectators line the streets as the thundering convoy departs for its parade ride through neighboring towns, showcasing festive costumes, tinsel-draped handlebars, and toy filled sidecars. The ride concludes at a designated community venue, where participants gather to celebrate with local food stalls, entertainment, and shared holiday camaraderie.
Organized by the Red Knights Motorcycle Club Chapter 6, the event honors the legacy of local founder Keith Hamilton, who initiated the event to ensure every child in the region receives a gift at Christmas. What began as a small gathering of passionate local riders has grown into an iconic regional motorcycling spectacle that unites the entire Gippsland community.
Whether you are jumping on your bike to join the procession, donating a toy at the staging area, or waving from the roadside as the convoy rolls by, the Sale and District Toy Run welcomes everyone to be a part of making Christmas brighter for Gippsland families.
