From the organiser

Banjo & Co brings Australia's best-loved poetry to life in a lively, entertaining journey through the stories, characters and landscapes that helped shape Australia's imagination.

Devised and performed by veteran actor James Scott, this one-man show celebrates the wit, warmth and storytelling brilliance of Banjo Paterson, alongside the contrasting voices of Henry Lawson and others.

From the thundering hooves of The Man from Snowy River to the wry humour of Mulga Bill's Bicycle and the haunting beauty of the Australian bush, James weaves performance with fascinating glimpses into the lives, times and rivalries of the poets themselves.

Part theatrical performance, part conversation, Banjo & Co invites audiences to rediscover the extraordinary power of the spoken word.
