Twenty-six years after their first trip to Australia & New Zealand together, Papa M and Mick Turnerare kissing dry land on both rocks this October! David Pajo (ya know, Slint? Aerial [and now Papa] M?) will be loaded up with a bag of dirty tricks from his latest album, Ballads of Harry Houdini: a batch of M-azing guitarismo workoutsand (gasp!) some singing too! And Mick -- his continued missions with Dirty Three, Tren Brothers, and Mess Esque leaving our ears gleefully ringing -- will be bringing it with his naturalist guitar instrumentals, movements that have only proved more profound as the years fly by. Two grandmasters of the electric guitar, ONE great show (per city)! What is sure to be a shred-for-the-hills event at each venue is not to be missed.
