About this tour
Learn the essentials of Japanese bento box cooking in this immersive cooking experience hosted at a trendy brewery in Tampa. In this class, Chef Vivian and Chef Michi guide you through two classic recipes that come together as part of a traditional bento-style meal. Start by preparing gyoza from scratch, mixing a savory filling of beef, cabbage, scallions and ginger before folding and cooking the dumplings to perfection. Next, create a Japanese potato salad with cucumber and dill, learning how simple ingredients can create balanced flavor and texture. With step-by-step guidance throughout, you’ll build practical dumpling-making and Japanese cooking skills while discovering how these dishes work together in a classic bento box format.
