About this tour

Captain Jack has been guiding in Ketchikan for 15 years, and is eager to get you on board

All levels of experience are welcome. Kids are welcome, though it should be noted that halibut fishing usually requires bringing fish up from 200-300 feet of water, which can be challenging for little ones.

Our boat is fully accessible, including for power chairs, an we have adaptive gear on board. Captain Jack is also a Certified Autism Specialist through IBCCES and Autism Double-Checked.

We'll bring the boat to you, load up, head out, and get to fishing! While halibut fishing, we might also catch Pacific cod, pollock, lingcod, sablefish (aka black cod), and various species of rockfish!

We can have any legal fish that you catch processed and shipped. (This is priced separately.)

Watch for whales and other wildlife as we travel to and from the fishing grounds. Take in stunning scenery and pepper Captain Jack with all of your questions about life in Ketchikan.

Private Salmon Fishing, 4 or 5 Hour, Priced by Group Size

Ketchikan, Alaska

5.0 · 16 reviews on Viator

While most charter boats in Ketchikan are 24 feet long and 8 feet wide, you'll be cruising on THE FOUR FINS, a 37 foot-long, 12-foot wide beauty of a vessel built right here in Ketchikan, with tons of forward deck space, a large, spacious cabin, and ample room on the rear deck for all parties while fishing. Captain Jack is not just an expert fishing guide and year-round local: he's a consummate host, who is eager to show off his hometown and to help you have a great time, all while he puts you on the fish. And while all parties are welcome, Jack had this boat built to be fully accessible, for wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers, and scooters. There is also adaptive fishing gear on board, like wrist braces and grasping cuffs for those with limited use of their upper extremities. Captain Jack is also a certified autism specialist through IBCCES.
