Airlie Beach Sunset Cruise
Airlie Beach, Queensland
4.6 · 159 reviews on Viator
The Sundowner Airlie Beach Sunset cruise sets sail from Coral Sea Marina Airlie Beach. Enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and nibbles while we cruise around the bay for two hours. The bar on board is fully licensed, for further drink purchases. Sorry, no BYO. Sundowner is a fully undercover, purpose built catamaran designed for socialising, and unlike a yacht, we have a flat surface and no trip hazards. There is ample room to move, and high heels are welcome. We circumnavigate the Airlie Beach waterfront around Pioneer Bay. As we have very little draft we are able are able to get up close and personal to the many points of interest along the Whitsunday coastline, and enjoy a bit of turtle spotting in Turtle Bay. Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands provide the perfect back drop for our sunset cruises, as well as our other cruises including private charters for birthdays, corporate groups, weddings or any celebration. This is a family friendly cruise.
“Sundowner is moderately accessible, with assistance, as there is no boarding ramp, and a step up is required. There is room on board for a limited number of prams or wheelchairs. The bathroom is not an accessible bathroom.”

9 tours and experiences in Airlie Beach have a supplier who states wheelchair access on Viator, as checked on 29 October 2026. 1 of those suppliers also describe the access in their own words, such as a step-free route, a lift or a ramp, and their tours are listed first.
Which wheelchair accessible tours in Airlie Beach are rated highest?
Of those with at least 20 reviews on Viator: 2-Night Whitsundays Sailing Cruise incl. Whitehaven Beach & Great Barrier Reef (4.8 from 784 reviews), Airlie Beach Sunset Cruise (4.6 from 159 reviews) and Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet Day Trip: Chill and Grill (4.5 from 219 reviews). Ratings are travellers’ overall ratings on Viator, not ratings of the access.
What is the cheapest wheelchair accessible thing to do in Airlie Beach?
Airlie Beach Sunset Cruise, from A$75 per person at the last price check (29 October 2026). Prices change, so confirm on Viator before you book.
Do any Airlie Beach tours have wheelchair-accessible transport?
None of the suppliers here states wheelchair-accessible transport, so if a tour includes a pick-up, ask the supplier what vehicle they use.
Are there accessible public toilets in Airlie Beach?
Yes. The National Public Toilet Map lists 8 facilities with an accessible toilet within 10 km of central Airlie Beach. See them on the map, with opening hours and what each one has.
Is wheelchair access on these tours guaranteed?
No. The access is as each supplier states it on Viator, and Inclusable hasn’t checked it. We leave out ticks that don’t hold up: demanding activities such as skydiving, diving or horse riding, and rides in an ordinary car, unless the supplier explains how wheelchair users take part, and tours whose own description contradicts the tick or says wheelchairs can’t be accommodated. Confirm your needs with the supplier before you book.
How do I book an accessible tour in Airlie Beach?
Each tour’s “Book” button opens it on viator.com, where you choose a date and pay. Questions about access go to the supplier through Viator. Inclusable may earn a commission.
