The names on the tombs within this historic burial ground are extensive and read as a who’s who of colonial Philadelphia. There are 1400 grave markers here. Probably the most famous tomb is that of Benjamin Franklin who rests beside his wife, Deborah and their four-‐‑year-‐‑old son, Francis. Actually Ben Franklin wrote his own epitaph when he was 23 years old.(5 min)

  3. 3

It is almost universally accepted that Elfreth’s Alley is the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the United States. It is a National Historic Landmark.(5 min)

  4. 4

One of America’s most historic shrines and a beautiful building in its own right, Christ Church has often been called the “Nation’s Church” because of the number of patriots that have worshiped here. Its admired for its historical, architectural, and religious significance.(5 min)
