About McDonald Jones Stadium

Both the Eastern and Western Grandstands have access for people with impaired mobility, with lifts in the centre of each grandstand to all levels. The lifts have tactile signage and controls within reach of wheelchair users, and tactile floor tiles mark ramps and stairs in both grandstands.

Getting in: the Eastern Stand and South Hill are reached through Gate L via the Southwest Ramp. The North Hill is best reached through the western entry gates (Gate 2 and 3 disability access points). People entering the Western Stand are guided through the turnstiles to the lift in the centre of the building.

Wheelchair seating: reserved seating in the Eastern Grandstand in Bays 2, 4, 8, 10, 13, 15 and 21, and in the Western Grandstand in Bays 23, 54, 55, 56, 57, 62 and 70. Wheelchairs are also welcome on the flat top of the general admission hills. For Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets games, book a wheelchair seat through Ticketmaster on 1300 446 925 or at the Ticketmaster box office at the stadium.

Toilets: disability toilets are on every floor, close to the designated seating bays.

Mobility parking: close to each of the stadium's accessible entries. Buy it in advance through the event's ticketing website or at the Ticketmaster box office at the stadium.

Sensory Room: a quiet space at Bay 55 on the Western Level 1 Concourse. Staff can point you to it. The stadium has also published a visual story, made with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect), to help you prepare for a visit.

Concerts: access, mobility drop-off points and parking can change for concerts, so check the event's own page on the stadium website before you go. The stadium also has an Accessibility Assistance Form on its accessibility page.

Accessibility scores are an AI-assisted baseline drawn from public sources and community insight. Where a venue is operator- or council-verified, a person has confirmed its details — shown by the badge near the top. If a detail is critical to your visit, we recommend confirming with the venue before you go. How scores work

Which of these does the venue have?

Tick everything that applies. Leave anything you are unsure about unticked — we would rather record nothing than record a guess.

Every request is reviewed by our team before a listing changes.

Are you the operator?

Get this venue verified. A verified venue shows an operator-verified badge above the AI-assisted score — a clear signal to visitors that a person stands behind these details.
